I have provided three integrated activities to use at home. These activities can be adjusted to fit your child's needs. These activities are aligned with Pennsylvania standards. It is beneficial for students to practice! Have fun!
Make a Number Game
Your child can create, write, and read numbers. This game emphasizes understanding the value of each digit in a number. Your child can create and read four-digit numbers during this game. The first line will represent thousands, second line will represent hundreds, third line represents tens, and fourth line represent ones. This game is a fun way to roll the die, write the number, and read the number. It is a great way to review place values!

Materials:
- Number dice cube
- Paper
- Pencil
- On a piece of paper, each player will draw four short horizontal lines.
- Each player will roll the die once and write the number shown on the cube on one of the lines. It is the player's choice to choose which line to put the number. The goal of the game is to get the highest number.
- Each player will go around and roll the die until all four columns are filled.
- When all four columns are filled in for each player, the winner is the player who created the highest number.

Marshmallow Math
A fun way to review place values with your child is using food. Your child can create the number heard by using food. This activity is a fun way to review place values. After this activity is done, your child can be rewarded by eating the marshmallows and cereal!

- O shaped cereal (fruit loops)
- toothpicks
- paper
- pencil
- On the paper, label hundreds, tens, and ones (as shown on the picture).
- Put a toothpick on three marshmallows. The marshmallows will stand as place value holders.
- Call out random 1-, 2-, 3- digit numbers. The child will create the number called out with the O shaped cereal to put on the toothpick.

Find random numbers, underline a digit in the number, and categorize it into its correct place value the digit belongs in. This activity is a stress free activity that gives your child more practice on place values. This activity is also a great way for your child to get creative!

- Scissors
- Pencil
- Find random three-digit/ two-digit/ one-digit numbers through the newspaper, the magazine, the grocery store, the neighborhood (address numbers), or think of random numbers.
- Write those numbers on a small piece of paper.
- Underline a digit in the number.
- Cut the number out.
- On a piece of paper, section three columns into hundreds, tens, and ones.
- Categorize the underline digit into its right place value column.
